Alex hasn't stop working since 2013 on TV and Film, when Alex started training with us he had ZERO Experience, he has been training at Alza Acting Studios for years, taking private coaching with Walter Alza and in group classes (almost 10 years).

This class offers a specific technique of acting for the camera tailored by the founder of Alza Acting Studio, award winning actor/filmmaker Walter Alza (Flashpoint, Get Rich or Die Trying). We also use elements from the techniques of Meisner, Chekhov and Stanislavski.

This class will provide a master-level preparation for auditions, rehearsals and on set performances. Each of these involves different direction and acting requirements. You will learn how to deliver the best performance in all three situations.

You will learn scene study within the language of the director/actor relationship. Directors and actors communicate differently and it is very important to know what the director wants. We will explore the very different energies and needs of the director and actors.

To apply to this class the actor is required to have a min of 3 years working experience in film & tv and /or theater, or if the actor was part of our studio for years..

This camera acting class will teach the actor:

What a director looks for in a casting audition for a call back
How a director reads a script

Be prepared to take risks
Expert-level bio-mechanic techniques for all types of shots
Connect intensely with scenes and with an acting partner
Explore how to make the boldest choices and execute them
Text & script analysis (scene and monologues)
Students are also given the opportunity to review their work on a large screen.
